A stock (share) market or equity market is a public entity for the trading of company stock (shares) and derivatives at an agreed price; these are securities listed on a stock exchange as well as those only traded privately.

The stocks are listed and traded on stock exchanges which are entities of a corporation or mutual organization specialized in the business of bringing buyers and sellers of the organizations to a listing of stocks and securities together. There are 2 big stock Exchanges in India, one is National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the other one is Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The volume of Bombay Stock Exchange is much bigger then the NSE.
The Market opens 9.30 in the morning and closes 3.30 evening on weekdays except Saturday,Sunaday and Reconised Holidays.
There are two options for trading one is longtime/shortime investment and other one is intraday trading. Intraday trading means to book the profit or loss in the same day.
